“There are not many visual studios capable of building a distinctive, recognizable language—but Desilence has achieved exactly that. The duo formed by Tatiana Halbach (Barcelona) and Søren Christensen (Denmark) has spent two decades developing a body of work that combines pictorial sensitivity and cutting-edge digital technology in equal measure.
Over the past 20 years, they have created visuals for large stages, musicals, dance, theatre, mappings, installations, and immersive experiences. Their work is, at its core, abstract digital painting: layers of light, color, and movement crafted with an almost microscopic level of detail. Beyond technique—which they master and continually push further—Desilence stands out for its ability to transform spaces and create living, vibrant, deeply sensorial visual worlds.
Few words are needed to understand their work: it is perceived immediately, as if something intangible—an idea, a sensation, an emotion—suddenly found its form. Perhaps this is where the meaning of their name lies. Each project opens a space where the emotional, the intuitive, and the hard to name become visible, almost tangible. Their work illuminates what usually remains in shadow and allows what once seemed inaccessible to finally find a voice.”
